Who we are
Roanoke Valley Plumbing serves homeowners across the Roanoke Valley. Plumbing work is performed by independent, Virginia-licensed plumbing contractors, who quote the job up front and pull permits where the City of Roanoke, Salem or Roanoke County requires them.
This site is written to be useful before you call: what usually causes the problem, what you can safely do first, and what local permit records show similar jobs have cost.
What it costs to call
Nothing. Calling is free, and you only pay for work you approve after getting a price.
Check a plumber's license yourself
Virginia requires a contractor license for home improvement jobs of $1,000 or more, and individual plumbers need their own trade license. The Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation encourages homeowners to verify licenses, get written contracts, and avoid paying in full up front, as covered in its home-improvement guidance.
- Ask for the contractor's Virginia license number.
- Look it up on the DPOR license lookup and confirm it's active and includes the plumbing (PLB) or gas fitting (GFC) specialty for your job.
- Get the price, scope and timing in writing for larger jobs.
Call recording and your information
Calls to (540) 240-9830 may be recorded for quality. If you leave a message or use the call back form, your details are used only to get a plumber back to you about your request. We don't sell your information or put you on marketing lists.
